As the first month of the new year is now over, I want to take a moment and reflect upon what’s new for me this year. Most people set a new years resolution or maybe choose a word that themes the new year. This year is 2020, so that brings a lot of words to mind. I’m sure you’ve heard of 20/20 vision. What kind of vision do you have?
Journaling Bible
Drawing closer to God. This is my #1 vision for 2020. I have been making more of a conscious effort to read God’s word and apply it to my life. I even got a new journaling Bible for Christmas. It’s been wonderful! This has started a whole new adventure of ways to help the words I read stick in my mind. I’ll be sure to share more on this as I dig in a bit more.
Quality Time

Next on my list is making sure the time I spend with my family is quality time. As a stay-at-home, homeschool, work-from-home mom, this may seem like an easy task. However, since I’m with my kids 24/7 the opposite is sometimes true. It’s easy to have the mindset that since I’m visible all the time and available as needed that I’m giving them the time they need. This, however, is not always true. Just because I’m visible doesn’t mean I’m giving my family the quality time they need. I need to step back and do things they enjoy doing. Things like going out in the back yard and play frisbe, reading a book together, putting a puzzle together, these are things we need to do more of! That doesn’t mean that it always happens on their schedule. But it does mean that I will make a conscious effort to be an active part of things they enjoy doing.
Sharing Health and Wellness

Yep, that’s right! I’m on a mission to share tips, products, recipes (you get the idea) with others that will help improve their health and wellness. There’s a bit of a back story (or more) on this that I won’t fully go into just yet. Part of it can be found here. I’ve just seen too many people suffer when they don’t have to. God has given us so much in nature that can aid in our health and wellness. The more I learn about it, the more I feel it’s my duty to share it with others. My sister and I have teamed up and have a lot planned for the coming year. I’m so excited to be with her on this journey!
Organization
Seven years, that’s how long I’ve lived here. Believe it or not, it’s the place I have lived longest my entire life. I almost don’t know what to do with myself! However, it has been a great opportunity for me to learn to let go of things and get more organized around the house. I have big plans for that this year. Now I just need to hope my family is on-board! My daughter is always up for purging and organizing. My guys…well, we’re working on them. First on the list is a bench/shelf area for our bay window. I already have my guys planning that one out. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

What else?
What are your plans and goals for the year? I’d love to hear how your year has started off and what dreams and plans you have for you and your loved ones!
